Graveside services for Georgie Sawyer Laing, 68, of Bastrop, will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 14, 2006 at Stevenson Cemetery with the Revs. Billy Stewart and Jerry Spikes officiating.
Mrs. Laing, a homemaker and member of the First Church of God, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Laing is survived by her husband, Dave Edward Laing; son, Michael D. Lucas & wife Susan of Pineville, LA; step-daughter, Emily Gail Goodman & husband James of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Courtney & Michael Lucas of Pineville, LA; step-granddaughter, Amanda Goodman of Mesquite, TX; sister, Jean Henderson & husband Don of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Verner Sawyer, Jr. & wife Margaret of Chattanooga, TN, and Kenneth Sawyer of Phoenix, AZ.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM Friday, April 14, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of God.
