Obituary of Lawrence Donald Johnston

Funeral services for Lawrence Donald Johnston, 82, of Bastrop, LA are schedulded for 3 p.m. Sunday June 28, 2009, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday June 28, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Johnston, a retired Morehouse Sheriff Department Deputy, and retired auto parts manager at Stephenson Cheverolet, passed away Friday June 26, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Johnston; a son, Doug Johnston; parents, Lawrence and Velma Johnston; and one brother, James Douglas Johnston. Mr. Johnston is survived by a one son, Don Johnston and wife Trish of Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law, Elaine Johnston of Bastrop, LA; and two grandchildren, Stephen Johnston, and James Johnston.
