A graveside service for Helen Day Gunter, age 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Beekman Cemetery with Rev. Tim Post officiating. Mrs. Gunter, a homemaker and retired LPN, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Gunter, Sr.
She is survived by four children, Hardy Gunter, Jr. and wife Leslie of Birmingham, AL, Patricia Gunter of Bastrop, Henry Gunter and wife Pam of Bastrop, Harvey Gunter and wife Debbie of Bastrop; brother, Franklin Day and wife Katie of Bastrop; eleven grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
