Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Eloise Dumas, 84, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment will follow in Red Wing Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dumas, a retired Mississippi riverboat cook and member of First Church of God, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe, LA. She was very involved in church activities, especialy those involving the youth. She was a founder of our local women's softball leauge and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. A favorite pastime was collecting geneology information about her family.
Mrs. Dumas is survived by her son, Dennis Ainsworth and wife Dawn of San Deigo, CA; grandson, Daniel Ainsworth of Lynchburg, VA and a granddaughter, Delissa Ainsworth of New Haven, CT.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Reese Dumas; siblings, William Alberta Bolton, Tildy Luvella Tackett, Viola Raymond, Earnest Lavelle Bolton, Myrtle Beatrice Prince, Eva Louella McGaha, Jessie Mary Jane Turner, Johnnie Sarah Marie Eley, J. W. Bolton and parents, John William Bolton and Lillie Louella Archer Bolton.
