Obituary of Howard Norsworthy

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Howard Norsworthy, age 79, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Hughes Chapel Cemetery with Lance Norsworthy officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Norsworthy, a retired Beekman Firetower watchman, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Union General Hospital in Farmerville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents; William Rufus Norsworthy and Edna Norsworthy; and a brother, Dan Norsworthy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Norsworthy; children, Mary K. Cook and husband John W. Cook, Jr. of White Hall, AR, John David Murphy Sr. and wife Debra D. Murphy of Cleveland, TX, Juanita Lingefelt of Tomball, TX, Rosie Miller and husband David Miller of White Hall, AR, Judy Kay Mitchum and husband Jimmy Mitchum of Spearsville, LA; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Melba Owens of Millington, TN; brothers, Jim Norsworthy and wife Melba of Felsenthal, AR, Max Norsworthy and wife Margaret of Bastrop; and sister in law, Jo Ann Norsworthy of Bastrop.
