Obituary of Camille Horton Malta

A memorial service for Camille Horton Malta, age 47, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Camille, a resident of Sterlington, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her father, Curley M. Horton, Jr. and her grandparents, Ellis Steele, Bessie Seymore, and Curley & Johnnie Horton. She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Claire Bennett and fiance Michael Hidalgo of West Monroe, LA, Megan Elizabeth Malta of Sterlington, LA; parents, Shelby and Kathryn Carter of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Karen Carter of Monroe, LA, Cheryl Clark and husband Dennis of Columbia, MO; brother, Carl Horton and wife Terri of Bastrop; three step-sisters, Debbie Jenkins and husband Bill of Front Royal, VA, Sheila Pearson and husband Terry of Prairieville, LA, Sandra Vance and husband Kevin of Winchester, VA; nieces and nephews, Patches Haynes and husband Michael, Brandon Pace, Matt Carter and wife Courtnie, Ashley Mitchell and husband Shawn, Jonathan Clark, Whitney Carter, Hillary Horton, Sarah Horton, and Alex Clark. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Association.
