Mildred Doris Buffington Madison went to be with God on February 6, 2011. She was born on March 11, 1924. She married Oliver Daniel Madison on January 25, 1944. Mildred and O.D. lived in Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Madison; parents, Jeanie and Alvin Buffington; two sisters, Leona Post and Barbra Ann Buffington; and two brothers, Ray Buffington and Richard "Bubba" Buffington.
Survivors include a sister, Marynell Brown and her husband Earl; one son, Oliver Daniel Madison, Jr.; one daughter, Doris Northrip and her husband Alan; two grandchildren, David Northrip and wife Alexis, Sara Kirkendall and her husband James; five great grandchildren, Rebecca Palacios, Leslee Bliznak, Micheal Kirkendall, September Northrip, and Brooks Northrip.
Mildred was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
