Obituary of William Bill Dawson

Funeral services for Mr. William Bill Dawson, age 91, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday May 3, 2006 at Mer Rouge Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Vollmar officiating. Burial will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Dawson, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Monday May 1, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital. Mr. Dawson was retired from the Morehouse Parish School Board. He was a member and deacon of Mer Rouge Baptist Church and a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge in Mer Rouge. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lanee Dawson. Mr. Dawson is survived by two daughters, Jean Blackard & husband Donald of Bastrop, Ann Patterson of Bastrop; two sons, Don Dawson & wife Brenda of Transylvania, Howard Dawson & wife JoAnn of Mer Rouge; two sisters, Gladys Pickren of Mer Rouge, Martha Payne of Silsbee, TX; four brothers, Doyle Dawson of Jasper, TX, Charles Dawson of Mer Rouge, James Wesley Dawson of Mer Rouge, Henry Dawson of Mer Rouge; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
