Funeral services for Jeannie McKinney, 73, of Bastrop will be 2 PM Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with the Revs. Marty Black & Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKinney, a homemaker and grandmother, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church and an avid deer hunter & lover of the outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roce & Florence Stanley Hollis; five sisters, Virgie Bolin, Ursi Hobbs, Hazel Roark, Dorothy Cunningham, Verlene Covington; three brothers, Dillard Hollis, Robie Hollis, Russell Hollis; and a grandson, Jimmy Charles Catinzano McKinney.
Mrs. McKinney is survived by, her husband, James B. McKinney; two sons, Keith McKinney & wife Pam, and Jimmie McKinney and wife Betty; four grandchildren, Twylia Joiner & husband Barry, Jamie Jordan & husband Dustin, Jeannie Marie Kenly & husband Randy, Christy Stephens; eight great grandchildren, Wyatt Joiner, Parker Jordan, Justin McKinney, Chase Kenly, Devan Kenly, Kristina Kenly, Brittney Miller, and Lee Jaye Stephens.
Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Sistrunk, Paul Sistrunk, Johnny McVoy, Colby McVoy, Jobie Tharpe, Donnie McLeod, Bill Tharpe and Jerry Daughtery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
