Obituary of Audrie Mae Yates Turner

Funeral services for Mrs. Audrie Mae Yates Turner, age 69, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Yocum and Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Red Wing Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 2 - 9 p.m. at Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner, a resident of Bastrop and housewife, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mohler and Velma Yates; son, Estus Monroe Turner; and brother, James Yates. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Turner; two daughters, Terrie Lynn Turner of Tulsa, OK, Lamona Diane Lowery and husband Ronnie of Bastrop, LA; two sons, Samuel Dale Turner of Bastrop, LA, Samuel A. Turner, Jr. and wife Carmen of Bastrop, LA; sister, Martha Lou Boyte of Oak Grove, LA; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Dillian Johnson Turner, Dusty Sanders, Scott Lowery, Adam Bradford, Tony Turner, J.R. Turner, Marty Bass, and Todd Bass. She will be loved & missed.
