Obituary of A.C. Little

Funeral services for Mr. A.C. Little, age 79, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Little was born September 13, 1929 in Bastrop, LA to Clinton and Ruth Little. He graduated from Bastrop High School in 1946 and studied for two years at North East College in Monroe, LA. In 1957 he moved to Channelview, TX. In 1968 he returned to Bastrop and went to work in the A/C ductwork business. He owned and operated Dixie Ductwork Shop for many years. He loved hunting and fishing and spent much of his retirement doing what he loved most. Mr. Little passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Dean Parker; and daughter, Gloria Florence Dahlhauser. Mr. Little is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pauline Little of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Vickie Tate and husband Dennis of Kingwood, TX; son, Wayne Florence of Warren, AR; four grandchildren, Kimberly Patterson and husband Chuck of Madras, OR, Jason Hutchins of Baytown, TX, Shane Florence of Bastrop, LA, Michael Florence of Warren, AR; four great grandchildren, Kaylee Patterson, Savannah Patterson, Gage Florence, Benjamin Hutchins; special nephews, Michael Parker, Barry Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Hutchins, Shane Florence, Mike Parker, Barry Parker, Michael Florence, and Terry Tate. Honorary pallbearers are Bennett Parker, Dr. Carter Cox, and Kimberly Patterson. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lagniappe Health Care, Dr. Carter Cox, Rev. Cal Adams, and Premier Hospice for their care.
