Obituary of Nita Graves Boutwell

Funeral services for Mrs. Nita Graves Boutwell, age 81, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Boutwell, a retired bookkeeper and member of First Baptist Church, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Mingyonne Bailey and husband Jerry of Sterlington, LA, Glenn Alexander and wife Debbie of Lake Charles, LA, Karen Robertson and husband Keith of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren, Tiffany Drury and husband Ralph of Ivington, AL, Jeffrey Bailey and wife Christy of Tampa, FL, Jeremy Bailey and wife Katie of Denham Springs, LA, Kevin Robertson of Bastrop, LA, Kirk Robertson of Bastrop, LA; three great grandchildren, Delaney Drury, Kinsley Drury and Greta Bailey. Mrs. Boutwell is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Boutwell and her parents, James and Clara Graves. Serving as pallbearers are: Neal Deforest, Charles Moore, Jim Bonsall, Billy Coughran, Larry Fryday and Jim Ingram. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Allen Spires and the numerous caregivers who have assisted in caring for Mrs. Boutwell over the past few years.
