Graveside funeral services for John R. Cole Sr., age 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday May 12, 2006 at McGaha Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Duchesne officiating. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9-12 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Cole, a retired restaurant manager, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2006. He was a resident of Oak Grove, formerly of Demorest, GA. Mr. Cole was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Cole is survived by daughters, Karen Calvert, Janice Killen, Fran Herd, Libby Cole; son, John R. Cole, Jr.; step daughter, Angie Brady; step sons, Glenn Barfield, Ronnie Barfield; sister, Ruth Tannehill; brother, Jim Cole; grandchildren, Kortney Calvert, Tiffany Erwin, Dustin Cole, Blade Killen, Brandon Killen, Veronica Cole, Victoria Cole, John Cole, Skylar Cole, Chris Brady, Beth Brady, Bonnie L. McCelland, Adam Barfield, Daniel Barfield, Joel Barfield, Cheri Barfield, Robert Lee McCracken, Kenneth Ray McCracken; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mack Calvert, Chuck Calvert, Michael Killen, Johnny Cole, Jack Marsh, Ricky Evans, John V. Cole, Dustin Cole.
