Obituary of Bonnie "Gene" Little

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Eugenia Little are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Spikes officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Little passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was born December 11, 1939 in Bastrop, and resided in Bastrop her entire life. She was a homemaker and for 32 years was employed by Louisiana Power & Light. Mrs. Little loved life, cherished her friends and family, and those that knew her can testify to her genuine concern and love. Her family holds dear many special memories and will miss her greatly. To her family she was a mentor, a moral compass, and taught those close to her the importance of family bonds and to live life to the fullest. A graduate of Bastrop High, she remained close to classmates her entire life. She is preceded in death by her only sister, Margaret Parker; and her parents, Houston and Sweetie Little. She is survived by her husband, Glen Little of Bastrop; son, Sidney Little of Bastrop; and numerous relatives and friends. All that knew her will definitely miss this very special friend, wife, aunt, and mother. Memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of Morehouse Parish.
