Obituary of Charlie Gray Chunn

Funeral arrangements for Mr. Charlie Gray Chunn, age 79, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. A.J. Fulton and Robert McGaha officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Chunn, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009. He was a retired landscaper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Asberry and Mandy Chunn; son, Billy Ray Chunn; five sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Walter Lavelle Jones. Mr. Chunn is survived by three daughters, Mandy Bertaline Jones of Bastrop, LA, Teresa Ann Chumney and husband Jack of Boyce, LA, Betty Ann Coggins of Tupelo, MS; son, Harmon Gray Chunn of Comstock Park, MI; two sisters, Emily Jane Hope of Monroe, LA, Rita Mae Stanley and husband Billy of Freer, TX; seven grandchildren, Kellie K. Jones, Nicole Hopper, Melissa Alexander and husband Jeff, Sheila Montgomery and husband Brandon, Kassandra Young, Jessica Waller, Eric Gray Chunn; and three great grandchildren, Madison Montgomery, Audrie Montgomery, and Eli Montgomery. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Joe Chunn, James Albert Chunn, Victor Ray Chunn, Ron Chapman, Bobby Black, and Doug Barton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please make memorial contributions to assist with Mr. Chunn's final expenses.
