Funeral services for Mr. Ed Lebrun, age 74, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Oden officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Lebrun, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired oil field worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Collinston Assembly of God. Mr. Lebrun was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, and for many years he mowed and maintained Carter Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Elbert and Willie Mae Lebrun and brother, James Lebrun. Mr. Lebrun is survived by his wife Mary F. Lebrun; two daughters, Rosemary Herrington and husband George of Eros, LA, Tressy Acreman and husband Jody of Bastrop, LA; son, Eddie Lebrun of Bastrop, LA; four sisters, Bea Turner of Collinston, LA, Polly Boyte of Bastrop, LA, Rosie Turner of Bastrop, LA, Mary Lou McKeithen of Crowville, LA; six brothers, Elbert Lebrun, Jr. of Farmerville, LA, Rodger Lebrun of Bastrop, LA, Joseph Lebrun of Lumberton, MS, Emmett Lebrun of Marion, LA, Dale Lebrun of Marion, LA, Jackie Lebrun of Anchorage, AK; six grandchildren, Allen Herrington, Amanda Herrington, Joshua Lebrun, Lance Corporal Jacob Lebrun, Franny Acreman, Barlee Acreman; three great grandchildren, Emily Herrington, Isabella Herrington, Gabriel Herrington and daughter in-law, Karen Lebrun. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Edfred Lebrun, Lance Corporal Jacob Lebrun, Jody Acreman, Steven Still, Phillip McNair, and Billy Wayne Bagby.
