Funeral services for Mr. Talmadge Walthall, 87, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Revs. Lynn Townsend and Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Walthall, a longtime member of Bonita Road Baptist Church and a retired employee of 37 years at International Paper Company passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006 at his residence. He is survived by three daughters, Lucille Kennedy and husband Rem of Bastrop, LA, Frances Long and husband Steve of Bastrop, LA, Judy Barton of Bastrop, LA; two sons, David Walthall and wife Mary Jane of Bastrop, LA, and Carl Walthall and wife Lacy of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Aline Bonds of Bastrop, LA, Virginia Plumley of Bastrop, LA; four brothers, Calvin Cook of TX, Arland Cook of TX, J.P. Cook of Bastrop, LA, Roy Cook of Bastrop, LA; sixteen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren. Mr. Walthall is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Louise Smith Walthall; parents, Osbon Walthall, C.C. and Gracie Mae Collier Cook and three brothers, Tony Walthall, Lloyd Cook and Floyd Cook. Serving as pallbearers are: Doyle Murphy, Kenneth Langston, Donnie McLeod, Jerry Freeland, Danny McGrew, Mike Gilley and Marvin Jaggers. Honorary pallbearers are: members of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class at Bonita Road Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home. Memorials may be to Bonita Road Baptist Church.
