Obituary of Evelyn McDonald Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn McDonald Moore, age 79, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday November 8, 2009 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Moore, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, passed away Thursday November 5, 2009 at Lagniappe Health Care. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn McDonald; three sisters, Johanna Book Hebert, Frances Farrington, infant sister, Beulah Mae McDonald; and one brother, Robert McDonald. Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Peggy Delores Ray and husband Jerry of Bastrop, LA, Deborah Colleen Lee of Benton, AR; two sons, Glen Wayne Murray of Beaumont, TX, Dale Erwin Murray and wife Bunny of Beaumont, TX; four sisters, Ann Looney of Bastrop, LA, Christine Looney of Bastrop, LA, Voncele Judkins of Bastrop, LA, Gayle Morris of Bastrop, LA; six brothers, Billy McDonald of San Carlos, CA, Jerry McDonald of Bastrop, LA, Roy McDonald of Bastrop, LA, Bobby McDonald of Bastrop, LA, Larry McDonald of Bastrop, LA, John Willie McDonald of Slidell, LA; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Looney, Dr. Brent McDonald, Ricky McDonald, Clark Bowen, Roy Graham, and Jackie Graham.
