Obituary of Donna Marie Baker

Funeral services for Donna Marie Baker, age 48, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Ms. Baker, a resident of Columbia, LA, formerly of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009. She was employed as a private duty nurse and a member of Burroughs Pentecostal Church in Columbia. She loved helping people and loved her family, grandchildren, and her pets. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Orion Strawn. She is survived by three daughters, Charity Dawn Strawn and husband Nicholas Jason of Hot Springs, AR, Tiffany Marie Hinson of Bastrop, LA, Melissa Joy Watkins and husband Jeremy of Bastrop, LA; father, Ben Baker of Matagorda, TX; mother, Mary Lee Lowery and husband Jimmy Wayne of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Beth Baker of West Monroe, LA, Jodi Baker of Seibert, AR; brother, John Colter Davis and wife Charlett of West Monroe, LA; and six grandchildren, Alyssa Joy Watkins, Jayden Orion Wayne Watkins, Blade Abel Bancroft, Ezekiel Abel Bancroft, Jocelyn Maurine Bancroft, Chandler Abel Bancroft, and another on the way. Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Watkins, Nick Strawn, Tony White, Andrew Smith, Dennis Glass, and Charles Laurent. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Watkins.
