Funeral services for Mrs. Shelia Watt Blackwell, age 46, of Beekman, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Beekman Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackwell, a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Insurance Clerk at Morehouse Parish School Board, passed away February 21, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. She enjoyed working in the Insurance business but her main love in life was her husband, Kevin, Alexis and Jennifer and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Blackwell; daughter, Alexis Blackwell of Beekman, LA; step-daughter, Jennifer Blackwell Reed and husband Brent of Beekman, LA; sisters, Debbie Gunter and husband Harvey of Beekman, LA, Connie McGrew and husband Ricky of Choudrant, LA; brother, David E. Watt and wife Pam of Beekman, LA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Blackwell is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Shirley Watt.
Serving as pallbearers are: Shane Evans, Billy Joe Halterman, Harvey Gunter, Gene Gunter, Jeff McGrew and Greg Watt. Honorary pallbearers are: Ricky McGrew, and Mike Hammonds.
