Obituary of Jr. Glass

Funeral services for Mr. William T. "W.T." Glass, Jr. are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Glass, age 81 and a resident of Bastrop, passed from this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was a retired supervisor from International Paper Company with 38 years of service. He was a member of Greenacres Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Sue Glass and Sherry Annette Glass Knighten; brother, Donald Rex Glass; sister, Winford O. Thomas; and parents, William Turner Glass, Sr. and Edith Downs Glass. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Hogan Glass; granddaughter, Tara M. Parker and husband Joseph; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews. Deacons of Greenacres Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers. Mr. Glass was a beloved grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle and he deeply loved them all.
