Obituary of Michael "Mike" Wiggins

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Michael "Mike" Wiggins, age 51, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Mike Loveday officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Wiggins, a resident of West Monroe, LA, formerly of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA. He was employed as an electronics technician and a member of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Utah W. Wiggins. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Bresett Wiggins; daughter, Samantha Wiggins Lingefelt and husband Jeff of Monroe, LA; two sons, Derik Patton and wife Stephanie of Hagerstown, MD, Dustin Patton of Germantown, MD; mother, Grace Wiggins of Bastrop, LA; sister, Ouida Wiggins of Bastrop, LA; brother, Craig Wiggins of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren, Julia Patton, Kira Patton, Aidan Patton, all of Hagerstown, MD; two nephews, Chad Blackmon of Monroe, LA, Justin Wiggins of Tyler, TX; niece, Rachael Crymes of West Monroe, LA; and great niece, Makayla Jo Gore of West Monroe, LA. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Blackmon, David Gore, Larry Freel, Wesley Gray, Nicholas Jones, and Cole Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Bryant, Fred Hill, and co-workers, John Heath, Jeffery Seymore, Brian Hartman, and Joshua Caldwell. The family would like to say thank you to friends and family for their calls, letters, visits, and prayers. They would also like to thank the staff of St. Francis Medical Center of Monroe, Health South of Ruston, and Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston for giving Mike such special care and being so accommodating of his family and friends.
