A memorial service for Mr. William Michael Dowd, age 61, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Gregory officiating.
Mr. Dowd, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was retired from International Paper Company and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Wall and Thelma Louise Dowd.
He is survived by two daughters, Scarlet Rachel Dowd of Shreveport, LA, and Ginger Dowd Greenwood and husband Chad of Bastrop, LA; and grandson, Adron Greenwood of Bastrop, LA.
