Obituary of Joshua Levon Jordan Wilson

Funeral services for Joshua Levon Jordan Wilson, age 19, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with great uncles, Rev. Dale Jordan and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the church. Josh was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Delton "Pop" Jordan and Jimmie "Granny" Jordan. Josh's favorite things to do were to hunt, fish and watch his favorite Nascar Driver, Jimmy Johnson. He loved the Saints, LSU, and Bastrop Rams Football. The family would like to say a special thank you to Cody Duckworth and Hannah Duckworth for helping care for Josh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hilman House of Shreveport, Attn: Debbie Franklin, 644 Herndon St., Shreveport, LA 71101. Josh is survived by his mom, Tammy Jordan Wilson and Shane Duckworth of Bastrop, LA; father, Greg Wilson and step mom Stephanie of Sterlington, LA; maternal grandmother Barbara Jordan Powell of Bastrop, LA; paternal grandparents, Jim Wilson and Sandra of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Jamie LeAnne Wilson of Bastrop, LA; one brother, Wyatt Wilson of Sterlington, LA; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; a special aunt, Gina Almond and Van; a special uncle, Coby Powell; a special aunt, Rebecca Bayless and Shane; nephews, Garrett and Taylor; cousins, Blair and Austin Almond; and his dog, Coconut. Pallbearers will be Coby Powell, Shane Bayless, Randy Porter, Tommy Kendrick, Cody Duckworth, Justin Eubanks, Rusty Johnston, and Gary Johnston. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, Phillip Patterson, and Brian Wallis.
