Obituary of Charles Leroy Emanuel

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Leroy Emanuel are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Praiseland Worship Center with Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the church. Mr. Emanuel, age 62, a retired truck driver, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010. He was a resident of Bastrop. Mr. Emanuel is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Colton Gilliam. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Emanuel of Bastrop; six children, Charles Wesley Emanuel, Karen Coker & husband Allen, Kristy Ward & husband Chad, Kellie Coker & husband Timothy, Katrina Emanuel, Kimberly Emanuel & husband Paul Lee, all of Bastrop; three step-children, Renee Fatheree & husband Patrick of Bastrop, Razzie Eugene Burch of Oak Grove, Jessica Marie Burch of Oak Grove; three half-brothers, Danny Miller, Mark Meeks, Marvin Meeks; half-sister, Margaret Meeks; grandchildren, Zane Ward, Zanna Ward, Rainy Brown, Morgan Coker, and a grandson on the way, David Paul Lee II. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Curt Gray, Patrick Barwell, Paul Lee, Gene Gunter, Mark Fatheree, Josh Reitzell, Carl Faircloth, and Keith Emanuel. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Miller.
