Obituary of Floyd Ellingburg

Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Ellingburg, age 77, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Sanders and Rev. Jeffery Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Ellingburg, a U.S. Army veteran and retired employee of International Paper Company, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Ellingburg loved fishing for white perch and enjoyed sharing them with friends and family. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Musgrove and husband Chuck of Swartz, LA; two sons, Tommy Ellingburg and wife Kathy of Bastrop, LA, Joe Ellingburg and wife Tammi of Sterlington, LA; sister, Sue Harris of Crossett, AR; grandchildren, Meredith Jones of Swartz, LA, Michelle Tripp of Swartz, LA, Josh Ellingburg of Sterlington, LA, Anna Ellingburg of Nixa, MO, Jeremy Rhodes of Bastrop, LA, Kim Barrilleaux of McGehee, AR, Miranda Austin of Bastrop, LA, Rickey Crain, Jr. of Sterlington, LA, Kalem Bayless of Sterlington, LA, Ethan Bayless of Sterlington, LA; great grandchildren, Marrah Jones of Swartz, LA, Chandler Jones of Swartz, LA, Lane Lowery of Bastrop, LA, Katie Barrilleaux of McGehee, AR, Dillon Rhodes of Star City, AR, Joe Crain of West Monroe, LA, Oliver Crain of West Monroe, LA; special nephew, Bill Ellingburg and wife Sarah of Bastrop, LA; special niece, Rose Tassey and husband James of Hamburg, AR; and best friends, J.C. and Mary Anderson of Mer Rouge, LA, Gary Anderson of Bastrop, LA, and Emma Lou Manning of Bastrop, LA. Mr. Ellingburg is preceded in death by his father, Jim Ellingburg; mother, Mattie "Vennie" Bates Ellingburg; sister, Vera Harris; brother, Frank Ellingburg; and sister, Murlene Pamplin. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Anderson, Chuck Musgrove, Jerry Kester, Tab Musgrove, Jim Ellingburg, Bub Welty, and Chandler Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. E.D. Baker, J.C. Anderson, Josh Ellingburg, Jeremy Rhodes, Kalem Bayless, and Ethan Bayless.
