Funeral services for Steven W. Shockey, age 39, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday July 12, 2006 at First Assembly of God Church with Dr. Ron Smith and Rev. John Martin officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Steven, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Saturday July 8, 2006. He was a truck driver and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Bastrop. He is preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Shockey; father, Samuel Shockey; and step-father, Carl Tubbs.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Shockey; two sons, Christopher Shockey & fiance Jamie Tackett, Steven W. Shockey, all of Bastrop; mother, Dorothy Tubbs of Bastrop; brother, David Shockey of Abilene, TX; and niece, Barbara Gray & husband David of Phoenix City, AL.
