Obituary of Peggy Strickland

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Strickland, 60, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Brent officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Strickland, a homemaker and member of First Assembly of God passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Saint Francis North Medical Center in Monroe. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Graham of Bastrop, LA, Michelle Brewster and husband Billy of Bastrop, LA; son, Thomas Strickland of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Lorene Chunn of Bastrop, LA, Rhoda Brown of Whittier, CA; two brothers, Leon Gardner of Bastrop, LA, John Thomas Gardner, Jr. and wife Nell of Bastrop, LA; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby Eugene Gardner, W.T. Gardner, Lynn Gayle Gardner, Jimmy Gardner; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Gardner and sister, Shirley McKenzie. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 14, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
