Obituary of Thomas Godwin

Graveside services for Mr. Thomas G. Godwin, 70, of Perryville, LA will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010, at Monroe Mulhearn Memorial Park with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. The family will recieve friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church, Bastrop LA. Thomas G. Godwin, a retired machine operator for Southern National Gas Company, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a charter member of Emergency Rersponse Team and was always giving of himself to help others. He loved and enjoyed everyday he spent with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Godwin; dad, Fredrick Godwin; and mother, Ruth Lee Edy. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Barrett Godwin, one daughter Debbie Kemper and spouse Dennis Owens of Fairbanks, LA; one son, Mark W. Godwin and wife Lori of West Monroe, LA; eight grandchildren, Brittany Gill, Casey Wallace, Zachary Godwin, Kassie Kemper, Misty Godwin, Heather Godwin, Destini Godwin, and Dalton Godwin. Also Special friend Sadie. Pallbearers selected are as follows, Dennis Owens, Devon Owens, Blake Corbin, Jordan Eager, and Darren Hall.
