Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Nina Sybil Cockrell Furlow, age 86, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Furlow, a native of Mer Rouge, LA and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Furlow Sevier of Houma, LA; a son, Luther Covington Furlow III and wife Mary of Aurora, CO; four granddaughters, Katherine (Kayce) Sevier, Stephanie Sevier, Brittany Sevier, and Christina Furlow; and a great niece Vickie Halterman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Covington Furlow, Jr.; her parents, Jessie and Lola Eubanks Cockrell; two brothers, Bernon and Wesley Cockrell; a sister, Sylvia Trahan.
