Funeral services for Mrs. Charlie Mae Hunt, age 87, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry Massey officiating. Interment will follow in Tillou Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hunt, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a retired inspector for the Garment Plant, a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and a resident at LeGrand for a year and a half. Mrs. Hunt is preceded in death by her husband, B.M. Hunt; parents, Walter and Macie Jackson; two brothers, Tom Jackson and John Jackson; two sisters, Daisy Brixey and Hazel Lynn.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by one daughter, Edna Sanders and husband Lynn of Bastrop; one son, Billy Hunt and wife Donna of Log Cabin; five grandchildren, Dee Dee Caldwell, David Hunt and wife Krystal, Garrett Sanders and wife Jennifer, Danielle Hunt, Patchez Hunt; and seven great grandchildren, Mason, Cayden and Tanner Caldwell, Macie Hunt, Elizabeth Jones, Bryce and Blake Sanders.
