Obituary of Ruth J. Hawkins

View Video Tribute Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth J. Hawkins, 94, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Hawkins, Rev. Andy Hawkins and Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hawkins, a homemaker and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church for 68 years, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Hawkins; three grandchildren, Mike Hawkins and his wife Jackie, Greg Hawkins and his wife Sandra, Andy Hawkins and his wife Monica; nine great grandchildren, Bob Hawkins and his wife Josi, Chris Hawkins, James Hawkins, Katie Hawkins, Cory Hawkins, Whitney Mackey and her husband Brent, Drew Hawkins, Kirstie Hawkins and Ashley Hawkins. Mrs. Hawkins is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hawkins; son, Harold Hawkins and twelve brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Bob Hawkins, James Hawkins, Chris Hawkins, Cory Hawkins, Drew Hawkins and Lynn Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Thompson, J.H. Lockwood, Jack Spigner, James Wilson, Earl Wilson and Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
