Obituary of Leona Post

Funeral services for Ms. Leona B. Post, 77, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, August 4, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Causey Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 5 to 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Ms.Post, a retired regional sales manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelers, and charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Monroe, LA passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at Oakwoods Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge, LA. She was a kind and gentle lady, who loved and cared for her family throughout her whole life. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Donna Miller of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Christine Marie Morrison of Bastrop; great grandchildren, Jules Bailey Duncan of Missouri, Ashton Cole Duncan of Bastrop; sisters, Mary Nell Buffington and Mildred Madison both of Bastrop; and a brother, Wesley Ray Buffington & wife Margie of Bastrop. Ms. Post is preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Post; brother, Richard Louis Buffington; and a sister, Barbara Ann Buffington.
