Obituary of Joe Wayne Flanagan

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Wayne Flanagan are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby O'Fallon and Rev. Rayburn McLarrin officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Flanagan, age 52, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011. He was a self-employed painter and a resident of Bastrop, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, I.T. and Clara Bell Flanagan, and his mother-in-law, Iva Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Robinson Flanagan; son, Joseph Flanagan of Bastrop, LA; five sisters, Diane Koepp and husband Don of Longmont, CO, Linda Navarro and husband Cheyenne of Madison, TN, Mary McLarrin and husband Kenneth of Bastrop, LA, Davlyn Heath and husband Henry of Bastrop, LA, Sharon Harris and husband Kirt of Bastrop, LA; brother, Danny Flanagan and wife Debbie of Bastrop, LA; father-in-law, Fred Robinson, Jr. of Bastrop, LA; three sisters-in-law, Cricket Robinson Knowles of Bastrop, LA, Freda Robinson Hodges of Walker, LA, Renee Robinson Merrill of Bastrop, LA; brother-in-law, Fred Robinson, III of Bastrop, LA; and half sister-in-law, Gloria Ward of Georgia. Serving as pallbearers will be Clarence Hogan, Chris Harris, Henry Heath, Jr., Zane Tubbs, Chris Clement, and Gary Anderson.
