Graveside services for Frank M. Murphy,Sr., 77, of Collinston, LA, are scheduled for 4:30pm Sunday, September 19, 2004, at Springhill Cemetery in Swartz, LA, with Rev. James Strittman officiating.
Mr. Murphy passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004, at St Francis Medical Center. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Merchant Marines and also an avid duck hunter, outdoorsman, and gardener.
Mr. Murphy is survived by 5 daughters, Charlotte Crawley & husband Don of Shreveport, Deborah Evans & husband Kenneth of Elmwood, LA, Lenora Evans of Swartz, LA, Elizabeth Harrison of Fayetteville, AR, Sandra Cranor & husband Tracy of Ashdown, AR; a son, Frank M. Murphy, Jr. & wife Carolyn of Monroe, LA; 4 sisters, Cordie Case, Elsie Head, Hazel Boddie all of West Monroe, LA, and Margaret Herrington of Pineville, LA; 21 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday September 19, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
