Obituary of David Andrew Fullerton

David Andrew Fullerton was born November 6, 1931 and went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 25, 2010. He was the son of the late Charles and Addie Fullerton. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herman Thomas and Raymond Fullerton; and three sisters, Vanetta Sims, Maxine Gasman, and Adeline Pikey.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Magdalene "Mag" Hayes of Portageville, MO. He also leaves his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty "Bett" Fullerton and one son, Charles David Fullerton. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his church family at the First United Pentecostal Church of Bastrop, where he was a member.
Mr. Fullerton, served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. During his tenure he served as a medic. He had many interests in his life. He was a devoted husband and daddy. He enjoyed fishing, road trips on his motorcycle, camping, flying, and time spent with family and friends. In his spare time he would would work in his garden or in his yard.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Arrie Fulton, Rev. Dwight Fulton, and Mickey Braswell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Joe Broadnax, Thomas Richard, Danny Jordan, Jonathon Braswell, Marvin Ricks, and Carl McGaha.
