Obituary of John Edward Allen

Graveside funeral services for John Edward Allen, age 46, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday August 27, 2006 at Stevenson Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Sanders, Rev. Everett Guiess, Jr. and Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday at Golden Funeral Home from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mr. Allen, a resident of Sibley, LA, formerly of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday August 25, 2006 at Homer Memorial Hospital in Homer, LA. He was a member of Bistineau Baptist Church in Heflin, LA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nita Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Laura Allen; father, John N. Allen of Bastrop; three daughters, Tanya Denise Casik of Tampa, FL, Shawn Nicole Allen of Dallas, TX, Joanna Ashley Brunet of Houma, LA; one son, Richard Edward Allen of Bastrop, LA; two step-sons, Chase Samanie and Chance Samanie, both of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Lisa Burditt of Longview, TX, Renee Chambless of Hattiesburg, MS; two brothers, Bill Allen of Minden, LA, Frank Ellis of West Monroe, LA; and four grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
