Funeral services for Mr. Llewllyn Brigman, Sr., age 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Brigman, Sr., a resident of Bastrop and retired from International Paper Company, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. Mr. Brigman, Sr. was a former Commander of the American Legion, Post 51 and was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Brigman, Sr. enjoyed being a member of the Morehouse Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He was an avid fisherman and was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Mr. Brigman, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Brigman; one sister; three brothers; a granddaughter, Tamera Lee Cain; three grandsons, David Adams, Leroy Adams, Jr., and Kenneth Brigman, Jr. Mr. Brigman, Sr. is survived by three daughters, Janee Wood and husband Dale of Wimberly, TX, Rickie Parrino of Bastrop, LA, Kathryn Adams and husband Leroy of Oak Grove, LA; three sons, Llewllyn Brigman, Jr., of Bastrop, LA, Jack Brigman of Bastrop, LA, Kenneth Brigman and wife Kara of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Lucille Bruce Walker of Ft. Worth, TX; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Kenneth Brigman, Roger Jones, Jeremy Parrino, Jamie Parrino, Joey Parrino, and Terrell Trichelle. Honorary pallbearers are John Buatt, Van Lee, David Anderson, and David Leonard.
