Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie Pittman Drummond, 70, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram and Dr. L.H. McCollough. officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Drummond, a retired master floral designer for Golden Flower Shop and Funeral Home and member of First Baptist Church, passed away September 2, 2006 at her residence. She is survived by her husband Ronald Bruce Drummond; daughter, Kelly Drummond Freeland (Wayne) of Sterlington, LA; three grandchildren, Emily Grace Ford (Glenn) of West Monroe, LA, Joseph Freeland of West Monroe, LA, Paige Freeland Wilson (Bill) of Monroe, LA; five great grandchildren, Tyler Ford, Hannah Ford, Hayden Ford, Grant Freeland, Cole Wilson; three sisters, Kathryn Lee of West Monroe, LA, Betty Soignier (Ray) of West Monroe, LA, Jan Sears (Ron) of Arcadia, LA; sister in law, Linda Drummond Causey of West Monroe, LA; uncle, Harry Pittman of Shreveport, LA; five nieces and nephews, Pam Pursnell (Alan) of Baton Rouge, LA, Deborah Raiford (Charlie) of St. Simons Island, GA, Sharon Jackson (Phil) of Epps, LA, Marsha Roberts (Mike) of West Monroe, LA and David Soignier (Amy) of Monroe, LA. Mrs. Dummond is preceded in death by her father, Grayson Pittman; mother, Bennie Smith and husband John; daughter, Karen Drummond; brother in law, Clifton Lee and a nephew Clifton Lee, Jr. Serving as pallbearers are: Terry Williams, Gene Roberts, Charles Moore, Billy Coughran, Elva Greer and Bill Goodnight. Honorary pallbearers are: Carl Turpin, Sr., Dr. H.C. Lucas, C.C. Brantley, Rev. Pat Guice, Dr. Robert Lyon, K.C. Priest and the ladies of the Johnye Armistead sunday school class. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and employees of Premier Hospice Care, staff and members of First Baptist Church and Dr. Robert Lyon. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Bastrop.
