Obituary of Wilbur Ray Wallace

Funeral services for Mr. Wilbur Ray Wallace are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette and Rev. Dale "Bubba" Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Wallace, was born July 10, 1940 in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at his residence in Bastrop. He was a retired diesel mechanic and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Wallace was a member of Second Ward Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Roy Wallace and Lizzie Jane Quimby Wallace; sister, Bobbie Jean Wallace Arcineaux; and brother, Berland Jack Wallace. Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife, Katie Jean Swayze Wallace; daughter, Melissa Rainbolt and Tim Musgrove of Bastrop, LA; son, Walter Wallace and wife Kristi of Monroe, LA; five sisters, Christine Davis of Homer, LA, Lorene Dean of Homer, LA, Lurlene Fletcher of Baskin, LA, Shirley Price of Minden, LA, Naomi Taylor of Homer, LA; two brothers, Charles Wallace of Epps, LA, J. A. "Bear" Wallace of Minden, LA; five grandchildren, Carla Rainbolt, Megan Rainbolt, Tres Rainbolt, Landon Wallace, Westley Wallace; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Pallbearers will be nephews, Jack Wallace, Jr., Donald Wallace, Richard Carter, Benji Wallace, Barry Wallace, Junior Fletcher, Scott Taylor, and Chase Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Musgrove, Connie McCarver, Stanley Robinson, J.B. Talley, Phil Clark, Glen Robinson, Dustin Dance, Ray Witherington, Dan Kifer, and Steve Grdinich.
