Obituary of Cynthia Ann Clingan

Funeral services for Cynthia Ann Hutchins Clingan, 67, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Gregory and Rev. Marvin Tabora officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery. Mrs. Clingan, a retired cook for American Commercial Barge Line, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA. She was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker and she lived for her children. Mrs. Clingan enjoyed fishing and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Lynn Clingan Daugherty and husband John Phillip of Bastrop, LA; son, Mark Jeffery Clingan and fiancee' Hope of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren, Jessica Ann Aldridge, Lynzie Morgan Clingan and Brianna Rose Clingan. Mrs. Clingan is preceded in death by a son, Roger Russell Clingan; mother, Lillian Blanche Suggs Anderson; grandparents, Charles Vern Suggs and Allie Lee Suggs. Pallbearers will be: James Cunningham,Seth Cunningham, Westley Scroggins, Carl Scroggins, Ray Witherington, Dale Stover, Chase Warren and Matthew Bonner. Joe Kinney and Dr. Mahmound Khalil will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
