Funeral services for Mr. George Preston Schoolfield, 48, of Santa Rosa, CA, formerly of Bastrop, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny Sanders and Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Stevenson Cemetery.
Mr. Schoolfield, a Xerox Machine Technician and a United States Navy veteran, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Santa Rosa, CA.
He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Allen Bunch and husband Gene of Bastrop; father, Ben H. Schoolfield, Sr. of Spring City, TN; one son, Joshua Preston Schoolfield of Ft. Bragg, CA; one sister, Rene Chambliss of Biloxi, MS; one brother, Jimmy Lamar Schoolfield of Clarksville, AR; three uncles, Lynn Allen of Monroe, LA, John Allen of Bastrop, LA, Perry Allen of Boiling Springs, NC; four aunts, Ella Randolph of Bastrop, LA, Eva Taylor of Bastrop, LA, Anna Lindzay of Central City, KY and Kay Stage of Vidor, TX.
Mr. Schoolfield is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Irma Talley Allen; sister, Belinda Bernard; two brothers, Ben H. Schoolfield, Jr., Michael Schoolfield, and grandparents, George and Callie Schoolfield.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. service time.
