Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Luther Stout, age 84, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday September 16, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff May and Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Cemetery in Swartz. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stout, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday September 12, 2006 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She was a retired sales clerk having worked at West Bros. and Seligmans. She was also a member of White Avenue Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stout; and brother, J. L. Luther.
She is survived by her six children, Jeannie Stout McDonald of Bastrop, Bobbette Stout of Nashville, TN, Bill Stout, Gloria Stout Nall & husband Buddy of Bastrop, Gary Stout & wife Susie of Bastrop, Mary Ann Stout Barnett & husband Lee of Bastrop; sister, Lela Luther Weaverling Fuiek of Huntingdon, PA; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Nall, James Nall, Steven Stout, John Stout, Robert McDonald, and Bob Weaverling.
