A graveside funeral service for Mr. Dennis M. Waltman, age 55, is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Waltman, a former Georgia Pacific employee, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 1st Infantry Division. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grady and Agnes Jones; step-father, Aaron Reynolds; and nephew, Dustin Aaron Stewart.
Mr. Waltman is survived by his wife, Rosie Aline Waltman; mother, Juanita Reynolds; two daughters, Melanie Robertson and husband Brandon, Amy Cureington and husband Stacy; son, Jason M. Waltman and wife Toni; two sisters, Jacqueline Mayhall and husband Dickey, Vanessa Flowers; step-children, Sherry Charrier, Darla Graves, Jamie Graves, Tony Jones and wife Shanna, James Jones, Jr.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; father-in-law, Homer McDougle; mother-in-law, Jimmie Alene Bradshaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
