Obituary of Alma Pauline McKenzie Jones

Alma Pauline McKenzie Jones was born in Bastrop, LA on October 15, 1955 as the 9th child to Paul and Isabel McKenzie. Throughout her life, she was blessed with a brilliant and creative mind. She passed away to God on May 21, 2010 after long-term illnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as several siblings: Grady, Bennie, Shirley, Irene, and Frances. Survivors include her husband, Gerald Jones of Little Rock, AR; her daughter, Anna Young-Pardue of Ogden, UT; her son, Christopher Young of Orlando, FL; her sister, Betty Braswell of West Monroe, LA; her brother, Paul McKenzie of Gravett, AR; her sister, Lecy McKenzie of Katy, TX; and three grandchildren: Tristyn, Michael, and Samuel. Memorial services for Pauline will be on Tuesday, May 25, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Public visitation will be 10am-1pm with a graveside service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, her children have asked that donations be made in her honor to the Covenant House, a national organization for helping homeless youth across the country.
