Obituary of Charles Laroy Wallace

Funeral services for Charles Laroy Wallace, age 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Brown, Bro. Huey Hughes, and Bro. Jeff Sills officiating. Interment will follow in Epps Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Wallace, a resident of Epps, LA, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at St. Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe. He was the retired owner/operator of Wallace Garage. He was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved his family, especially the children and babies, and loved to preach, teach, work, and help others. Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, William Roy Wallace and Lizzie Jane Quimby Wallace; son, Rickey Sanders; sister, Bobbie Jean Arceneaux; brothers, Berland Jack Wallace and Wilbur Ray Wallace. He is survived by his wife Kathern Walker Wallace; four daughters, Elizabeth Wallace Jones and husband Dylan of Epps, LA, Susan Sanders Weems and husband James "Hut" of Monroe, LA, Glenda Humphryes Hayes and husband Charles of Bastrop, LA, Fredia Humphryes Musgrove and husband Johnny of Bastrop, LA; son, Charles Donald Wallace and wife Robin of Bastrop, LA; five sisters, Leuraleen Fletcher of Baskin, LA, Lorene Dean of Homer, LA, Christine Davis of Homer, LA, Shirley "Nell" Price of Minden, LA, Naomi Taylor of Homer, LA; brother, J.A. "Bear" Wallace of Minden, LA; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Wallace, Benjy Wallace, Jack Wallace, Jr., Walter Ray Wallace, Mike Blakely, and Junior Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Connie McCarver, Scott Taylor, Barry Wallace, Perry Dean, Paul Arceneaux, Gerald Arceneaux, Kevin Dean, Larry Lingefelt and Todd Lingefelt.
