Obituary of Jeanne Freeman

Funeral services for Jeanne Freeman, 64, of Bastrop are scheduled for 4 PM Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Freeman, a retired Nurses' Aide at Morehouse General Hospital, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Glenwood Medical Center. She is survived by two daughters, Angelia J. Mizell-Istre and husband Raymond of Oak Grove, LA, Rhonda Lawrence and husband Kevin of Bastrop, LA; son, Framan John Madding of Nashville, TN; sister, Deborah Mae Seaton of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Vernon Bates, of St. Peters, MO, John Bates of Troy, MO, Leroy Bates of St. Charles, MO, William Wakefield of MO, Dennis Wakefield of St. Peters, MO, Little John Wakefield of O'Fallin, MO; grandchildren, Kenneth John Mizell, Rachael Nicole Mizell Lucas, Steward Matthew Forwood, Robert Zachary Forwood, Christina Istre; great grandchildren, Malorie Jo Lucas, Juliana Mizell, Alora Rayne Mizell and Hannah Sonnie. Mrs. Freeman is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Freeman; daughter, Jacqualine V. Forwood; parents, William D. and Viola R. Bates; sisters, Virginia Fisher, Edith Ellen Bates, Betty Louise Bates; brothers, Richard Bates, William Bates, Carl Bates, Bob Wakefield and one unnamed infant brother.
