Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Perry Carter, 83, of Mer Rouge, LA , formerly of Crossett, AR., are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Friendship Pentecostal Church in Crossett with Bro. Cecil Harvey officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carter, a member of Friendship Pentecostal Church, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Oak Woods Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Whitten and wife Mary of Mer Rouge, LA, Jimi Whitten and wife Jo Ann of Bastrop, LA; sister, Velma Wilson of North Crossett, AR; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by her parents;her husband, Arthur L. "Hoss" Carter; daughter, Ann Bonnette; son, Gary Whitten and a grandson, Todd Whitten.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Perez, Bob Broomfield, Houston Hart, Ray Pennington, Glen Willis and Jimmy Bonnette.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
