Obituary of Elizabeth Stover

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Stover, age 85, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Goodwill Church of God with Bro. David Radford and Bro. Jason Strong officiating. Interment will follow in Redwing Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will begin 3 p.m. Sunday at Goodwill Church of God. Mrs. Stover, a resident of Oak Grove, LA, passed away Saturday June 5, 2010 at West Carroll Memorial Care Center. She was a retired waitress. Mrs. Stover was a member of Goodwill Church of God and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #66 in Oak Grove, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Jr." Stover; daughter, Brenda Randell Copes; brother, W.J. Hicks; and parents, Tilden and Irene Hicks. Mrs. Stover is survived by her son, Delton Stover and wife Edna of Oak Grove, LA; three daughters, Connie Byrd and husband David of Oak Grove, LA, Rita Moody and husband Jeff of Benton, LA, Judy Lowe and husband Lewis of Oak Grove, LA; son-in-law, John Doyle Copes of Haughton, LA; sister, Magelene Sims of Oak Grove, LA; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Serving as pallbearers are Douglas Strong, Denzil Sumrall, Russell Chriswell, Donald Sasser, Rusty Hicks, and Jimmy Sims. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons and great grandsons.
