Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Marie Guice Richard Coley, age 76, of Sterlington, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Sterlington. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery (Bastrop, LA) under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Mrs. Coley, a homemaker and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Sterlington, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She dearly loved her children and family and treated each one special. She also was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Mrs. Coley is survived by her husband, Thurman Coley; three sons, Melvin Guice and wife Susan of Hernando, MS, Dickie Guice of Alameda, CA, Gary Guice, Sr. and wife Lisa of Sterlington, LA; two sisters, Edna Tarver of Vicksburg, MS, Mary Helen Falkner and husband Michael of Shreveport, LA; brother, Paul David Connell of Belle Chasse, LA; eight grandchildren, Melissa Guice, Allicia Guice, Miranda Guice, Amy Guice, Gary Guice, Jr., Buster Guice, Candace Deere, Holly McCready and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Velma Hughes Centers; husbands, Charles Guice and Jimmie Richard. Serving as pallbearers are: Scott Jones, James McCready, Aubie Powell, Gary Jacobson, Cleve Gunter and James Lowrey. Honorary pallbearers are: Jamie Fitch, Pete Kimball and Max Mullins.
